Sourcing Notes

We're not going to pretend we have some elaborate global sourcing network. We're a small team in Jaipur, and most of what goes into our packs comes from suppliers we've actually met, not a spreadsheet of vendors we picked based on the lowest quote.

How we pick ingredients

Before anything goes into a Toku Moku pack, we ask a simple question, would we buy this for our own kitchen? If the answer is no, it doesn't make the cut, no matter how good the price looks.

For nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, we work with suppliers who deal in the actual ingredient, not a processed version of it. Almonds are almonds, not almond flavouring. Honey is honey, not a syrup blend with a honey label on it. We'd rather pay more for the real thing than cut corners on something that goes directly into what people eat every day.

Quality checks

We don't have a fancy lab or a certification wall, what we have is a habit of actually tasting every batch before it ships. If something smells off, tastes flat, or doesn't match what we expect, it doesn't go out, simple as that.

Where we're honest about our limits

We're a young brand, and we're not going to claim a level of sourcing sophistication we haven't earned yet. We don't have farm-to-pack traceability documentation the way larger, more established brands might, and we're working on building those relationships and processes properly as we grow, rather than rushing to slap a certification badge on the pack before it's actually true.

What we can promise is this, we buy real ingredients from people we trust, we check what comes in before it goes into a pack, and we'd rather tell you we're still figuring out the finer details of our supply chain than pretend we've got it all sorted when we don't.

Where we're headed

As Toku Moku grows, we want our sourcing to grow with it, more direct relationships with the people actually growing and producing what we use, more transparency about where things come from, and less reliance on middlemen wherever we can manage it. We're not there yet, but that's the direction we're building toward.
